Veteran Lollywood actor, Ghulam Mohiuddin, believes that to make children independent and successful human beings, parents must initiate a friendly bond with them.
According to reports, Mohiuddin who rose to fame in 1975, in an exclusive interview with a private channel said that in order to make ones children successful and independent, one must give them the confidence to share anything and everything. He claimed that this can only be done if one is friends with them.
The legendary actor likened children to wax which can be molded into any shape. It is important to consider the environment of your home. How you deal with relatives and who you keep company with, plays an important part in this. According to the actor, the most important thing is the relationship between the husband and wife. If they fight, it will adversely affect the kids as well.
He added that it is essential to give confidence to your children that they can come to you for anything, that they can discuss anything. This practice opens their minds and allows the the opportunity to share all sorts of things with their parents. He added that he exercises the same with his children saying that he is friends with them.
Ghulam Mohi-ud-Din, 69 added, that the tragedy in our country is that we educate our children to get a good job not to train them to be better human beings. The actor who has worked in over 400 films rose to fame with the popular Mera Naam Hai Mohabbat, which was a blockbuster hit in Pakistan and China, and is reportedly based on a Chinese folktale.
