Special PIA flight returns from Syria

Special flights of Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) are departing for Najaf, Baghdad, and Damascus.
According to reports, the PIA aircraft was carrying 322 passengers when it landed on Syrian soil after almost 27 years. The national flag carrier was greeted with a water gun salute at the Damascus airport.
Minister for Aviation, Ghulam Sarwar Khan, and CEO PIA Air Marshal Arshad Malik were present on the special initial flight.

At the airport, the Minister of Aviation and the CEO of PIA met with the Syrian Minister of Transport. According to reports, the Ambassador of Pakistan to Syria and the Syrian Ambassador to Pakistan were also present at the meeting.

At the shrine, the Syrian Minister of Religious Endowments for Religious Affairs received the delegation and PIA staff. The delegation recited Fatiha at the shrine of Bibi Zainab and performed Nawafil in the mosque.
