LGS issues a Safeguard Policy against Harassment

Lahore, 1st August 2020: Lahore Grammar School (LGS) has recently issued a Safeguard Policy against the harassment and bullying at the school campuses.

According to reports of Baaghi TV, the Lahore Grammar School franchise has issued a safeguarding policy in all of its branches across Pakistan, in order to curtail the harassment and bullying issues.

After the recent episode of sexual harassment cases reported by the female students of the LGS 1-A/1against their male teachers, the school administration and the Punjab Government have taken serious steps in order to tighten up the measures.

According to the school administration, LGS is committed to establish and maintain a working and learning environment that is free from harassment and bullying of any kind. It is a place where all persons are treated with dignity, courtesy, and respect.

As per the policy issued by the school authorities, LGS will not tolerate any harassment and bullying under any circumstances. Any members of the LGS community found to be engaging in such behavior will be subjected to strict penalties.

LGS teachers exposed for sexually harassing female students

The statement issued by the schools also stated that LGS will establish a permanent Review Panel by the 30th of September 2020, to oversee the implementation of the present policy. The panel will comprise 12 members including senior faculty members, students, parents, lawyers, activists, and trained specialists.
