De-Radicalizing Western Foreign Policy: A Response

In light of recent unfortunate events, I would like to draw your attention to the inexplicable murder of Noor Mukadam, the daughter of the former Pakistani envoy to South Korea, Mr. Shaukat Mukadam.

The victim, Noor Mukadam, was an artist and an animal lover. She had recently been commissioned to paint her first mural. Vivacious and full of life, she had a lot to offer to this world but unfortunately, her life was cut short by the accused and co-accused in this case, Zahir Jaffer, Zakir Jaffer & Asmat Adamjee.

The night of the murder, the accused, Zahir Jaffer, the son of a prominent business tycoon, Zakir Jaffer, and Asmat Adamjee, after allegedly holding her captive for almost three days at his residence in an upscale area of Islamabad, tortured and beheaded her in the most savage way possible.

Defence Day: A Story of Honor and Commitment

Noor endured an immeasurable amount of pain that none of us could probably even fathom but at this point in time, her family and friends have been left desolate and in despair, fighting to get justice.

Respected Sir, Major General Babar Iftikhar, Noor will probably get a sliver of the justice that all of us are actively seeking and keenly awaiting because the full justice that she most definitely deserves will only be granted to her in the Hereafter, however, to witness that sliver of justice being manipulated and contorted in the courtrooms by learned advocates and changed into something that weakens the case is deplorable.

Justice for Noor Mukadam – A Tragedy till date

We understand that both advocates need to present arguments during trial, it’s their job description, that’s a given, however, before any job description comes humanity, especially when the father of the deceased is sitting in the courthouse absorbing the dirt being thrown at his beheaded daughter. Could you imagine what it would be like to be in place of Mr. Mukadam? And I hope you never have to. May Allah bestow his blessings on you and your family. Ameen. But as civilians, military personnel, politicians, influencers, and celebrities, we are facing a pandemic and this is not the COVID-19 pandemic, this is the pandemic of insensitivity and selfishness that we face as a society today. The degradation of basic values like empathy and care are but only limited to a few good souls living on this planet.
