Iran tightening noose against illegal Afghan refugees

Iran is tightening the noose against illegal Afghan refugees following Germany, the United Kingdom and Turkiye.

It is speeding up executions in drug-related cases and deportations.

According to Afghanistan International’s report seven prisoners, including illegal Afghan refugees were executed in Iran’s Qazvin prison. These prisoners were sentenced to death by the Iranian judiciary for involvement in various drug-related cases.

According to international human rights organizations, Iranian authorities have sentenced eighty five Afghan individuals to death for illegal and serious crimes last year.

Due to the illegal activities of Afghan refugees, the deportation process from Iran has been expedited.
