According to a statement cited in connection with the incident, Ijaz sustained a self-inflicted injury involving his personal weapon. The statement attributed the incident to family pressure and personal issues, while rejecting other explanations circulating publicly.

The sources described the matter as a private family tragedy and urged that the privacy of those involved be respected.

The statement said that “all other conspiracy theories and speculations related to the incident are baseless and based on lies,” while calling for the incident not to be used for political or other interests.
