Xi Jinping Extends Warm Congratulations to Pakistan on Pakistan Day

Chinese President Xi Jinping has sent a heartfelt congratulatory message to Pakistani President Asif Ali Zardari on the occasion of Pakistan Day, praising Pakistan’s remarkable development achievements and steadfast defense of national sovereignty amid various challenges.
In the message reported by Xinhua News Agency and shared widely on diplomatic channels, President Xi expressed China’s deep pride as a close friend in Pakistan’s progress. He highlighted the enduring “all-weather” strategic cooperative partnership between the two nations, describing it as a precious treasure forged through shared history and mutual support.
Xi emphasized the significance of 2026, noting it marks the beginning of China’s 15th Five-Year Plan and the 75th anniversary of diplomatic relations between China and Pakistan. He pledged to work closely with President Zardari to carry forward this traditional friendship, strengthen strategic communication, align development strategies, and advance practical cooperation, particularly through the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC), to accelerate both countries’ paths toward modernization and deliver greater benefits to their peoples.
The message underscores Beijing’s consistent support for Pakistan’s stability, sovereignty, and contributions to regional peace and prosperity. It comes as Pakistan marks the anniversary of the historic Lahore Resolution of 1940, which laid the foundation for the country’s creation.
