In a joint statement, the foreign ministers of Pakistan, Egypt, Jordan, Saudi Arabia, Türkiye, Qatar, and the United Arab Emirates confirmed that they had accepted invitations extended by President Trump. The statement noted that each country would complete its participation through its own legal and administrative procedures, with Pakistan, Egypt, and the UAE already having formally declared their intent to join.

The ministers reiterated their collective backing for peace efforts led by the US president and expressed commitment to supporting the board’s mission, which is linked to the Comprehensive Plan to end the Gaza conflict and endorsed under UN Security Council Resolution 2803. The plan focuses on achieving a lasting ceasefire, accelerating humanitarian assistance, rebuilding Gaza, and advancing a just resolution based on the Palestinian right to statehood.

Earlier, Pakistan’s Foreign Office confirmed that Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif had accepted President Trump’s invitation, describing the move as part of Pakistan’s broader diplomatic efforts to support peace under the UN framework. The FO said Pakistan hopes the initiative will translate into concrete steps toward a permanent ceasefire, expanded humanitarian relief, and reconstruction in Gaza, ultimately leading to an independent Palestinian state based on pre-1967 borders with Al Quds Al Sharif as its capital.
