According to Baaghi TV reports, the second wave of corona continues across the country. Medical staff from Corona also suffer.

Another doctor has passed away from Corona virus in Peshawar. The deceased was Dr. Khalifa Gul Nawaz, Additional Director, Bannu Hospital. The doctor, was admitted in North West Hospital Peshawar, and was on ventilator due to COVID-19. In Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 25 doctors have died from corona so far.

Dozens of doctors and paramedics at two major hospitals in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa have tested positive.

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s largest, Lady Reading Hospital, has 25 doctors and paramedics infected with the corona virus. According to the hospital administration, in the second wave, Corona virus has been confirmed in the administrative staff including 8 TMOs, 2 assistant professors and paramedics in LRH.

Corona’s attack continue at Peshawar’s second-largest, Khyber Teaching Hospital, and 50 other staff members, including doctors, have been affected.

Infection with the corona virus has caused concern among patients and citizens at the hospital, where doctors are also affected. Citizens say that steps should be taken to protect the doctors and other medical personnel on the front line.

According to the NCOC, the death rate from corona in Pakistan has risen to 2.02%. 76% of those killed by Corona are over 50 years old. Seventy-two percent of patients who died from corona also had other illnesses. Ninety-one percent of those killed by Corona died in hospitals. In hospitals, 58% of corona patients are on ventilators.

According to the NCOC, Corona is spreading to 15 cities across the country. Eighty percent of corona cases in Pakistan were reported from eleven major cities.

Dr. Faisal Sultan, Special Assistant for Health, said that the second wave of corona virus has gradually started in Pakistan. To deal with the second wave, SOPs will have to be strictly adhered to. By taking precautions we can deal with the second wave of corona.
