For us, all Political Parties, Provinces and Sects are Equal: DG ISPR

ISLAMABAD — January 6, 2026: Addressing a press conference, the Pakistan Army spokesperson claimed that approximately 2,500 foreign militants have recently relocated to Afghanistan from Syria. He said these individuals are not limited to Afghan nationals and described them as terrorists of multiple nationalities.
The military spokesperson emphasized that security is a prerequisite for economic activity and development, adding that national unity plays a key role in exposing external threats. Referring to a surge in violence, he said that the occurrence of 540 terrorist incidents in Pakistan underscores what he described as Afghanistan’s role as a hub for militant activity.
