Speaker National Assembly returns after entering Afghanistan’s airspace, according to reports.
According to the report of Baaghi TV, the visit of the Speaker of the National Assembly Asad Qaiser and his delegation to Afghanistan has been postponed. The visit has been postponed due to the closure of Kabul International Airport for security reasons.
Reportedly, the control tower announced the closure before Speaker National Assembly and his delegation could land. According to reports, the delegation had left Pakistan’s airspace and entered Afghanistan.
All flights have been cancelled at Hamid Karzai Airport following which the Pakistan aircraft has returned.
According to reports, the Pakistan Parliamentary delegation was scheduled to meet with President Ashraf Ghani and Foreign Minister Muhammad Hanif among other Afghani officials. The new date of the visit will be announced in consultation with both countries, according to sources.
