What are the keys to successful volunteerism?

• Find a Cause that you are passionate about. If you don’t have something that drives your passion, then it is hard to devote yourself to any one cause.

• Volunteer in the Most Effective Capacity for Your Skillset and Time Commitment Level- if you can only give an hour per week, try volunteering with another organization or helping out on social media by promoting events or sharing information about what they do etc…

This way, even though your time commitment is limited, you will still be contributing and doing something valuable for them!

• Make Yourself Visible- make sure people know who you are and what skillsets/ resources you offer. This way, when they are looking to expand their volunteer network or need help with something specific, you will be the first person that comes to mind.
