Lahore, 25th April: Bollywood superstar Akshay Kumar donated one crore for coronavirus relief work in India.

The ‘Khiladi’ actor who is known for his philanthropic activities, just donated 10 million for the relief work done for the coronavirus pandemic.

As per reports, Kumar donated a whopping one crore to an NGO owned by the former cricketer Gautam Gambhir to conduct the relief work for COVID-19.

The news became viral when the former cricketer Gambhir thanked the Bollywood star on his Twittter account for his generosity.

He tweeted on April 24, “Every help in this gloom comes as a ray of hope. Thanks a lot, @akshaykumar for committing Rs 1 crore to #GGF for food, meds and oxygen for the needy! God bless.”

Replying to Gautam Gambhir, Akshay wrote, “These are really tough times, @GautamGambhir. Glad I could help. Wish we all get out of this crisis soon. Stay Safe.”

It is to be noted that earlier this month Akshay Kumar had contracted the coronavirus, following which he was taken to a hospital as a precautionary measure on April 5.

A week after, his wife and former Bollywood actress Twinkle Khana, announced on her social media account that Akshay had recovered well and has been shifted to his home.
